Le musiche da cantar solo, Libro V, Venezia, 1623
The fifth book of the Music to sing on the “Chitarrone, Clavicembalo, Arpa doppia & altri strumenti da corpo” is the last publication of the “Cavalier” Sigismondo D’ India. The book is dedicated to the “Serenissimo” Charles Archduke of Austria and printed by Alessandro Vincenti in Venice in 1623 and at the moment it is kept in the Christ Church of Oxford. The characteristic of this fifth book is the contemporary copresence of various constituent parts and vocal styles of the early seventeenth century.
