Guernieri’s chamber music recording, performed by the Camerata degli Ammutinati and Estemporaneo Ensemble ensembles (as well as Demetrio Bonvecchio, solo trombone), is specifically dedicated to the unique characteristics of wind instruments: “In the music on this CD, the study portion is represented by the use of wind instruments, which are unusual for me as a string player, and which I wanted to experiment with in my music, but the experimentation was conditioned by my expressive intention and therefore by my inner self. From this interweaving emerge the texts, some written by me, in Musicografie, and others sought out by inner urgency, in Tre Compianti, with the intention of giving voice to states of mind relating to a collective experience” (Maurizio Guernieri).
