Chamber songs on texts by Guerrini, Monti, Carducci, Pascoli

The lyrics featured on this cd emerge from a profound and intense dialogue with the verses of poets and writers deeply connected to the land of Romagna, prominent figures born or living in this region, now honored in their House Museums. This refined musical selection is inspired by the international composition and performance competition organized by n.o.t.a. music: “Art Songs Based on Texts by Poets and Writers from the House Museums of Romagna.” The collection includes some of the award-winning pieces from the competition, now at its second edition, that further expanded its repertoire of poems by incorporating works by Vincenzo Monti and Olindo Guerrini, alongside already celebrated authors such as Pascoli, Carducci, Panzini, and Moretti. The songs on this cd were performed by the winners of the competition’s “Performers Section”, recordings that found profound identity through the performers’ interpretative skills and the close collaboration between the composers and the musicians.
