Suoni d’arpa – Saluzzo 2015, a success beyond all expectations

The 3rd of September 2015 ended the fifth edition of the International Contest “Sounds of harp” that this year took place in the prestigious APM School of Saluzzo, that proved to be the ideal venue for holding the the competition in the fantastic context represented by the beautiful Piedmont old town, granting a picturesque setting to the concerts of the Harp Festival whose sixth edition was held on the side of the competition. The huge success given by the large number of participants from all over the world has been been topped by a significant increase in the technical and artistic level of the artists who have not made life easier for the juries. The winner of this year’s discographic prize (category C, pedal harp, soloists up to 28 years) was the twenty-two Liliana Safikhanova, from Moscow, who also won the first prize in the category E (duo with harp) together with the partner Anna Aleshina. Category D (pedal harp up to 16 years) was won by the fourteen year old Belgian Chanel Perdichizzi, while Agatha Bocedi and Elisa Netzer respectively won the first prizes in the categories A and B (harp levers up to 16 years and 16 to 28 years). Remarkable attendance of public at the concert with the winners and those of the Festival with the participation of Gabriella Dall’Olio, Ieuan Jones, Dearbhail Finnegan, Park Stickney, Raoul Moretti, Vincenzo Zitello, and all winners of the past edition of the competition: Tjasha Gafner and Chiara Pedrazzetti from Lugano, Rosanna Rolton from London and the Duo Aemme Parma. Both events had the full support of Salvi Harps from Piasco, that provided all instruments to the participants, so that everyone could choose the best suited to their needs.
