Alfredo Casella (1883-1947)
Luigi Perrachio (1883-1966)
This CD is entirely dedicated to harp and introduces us to two composers active in the Historical Italian twentieth century period: Alfredo Casella, the famous exponent of the Eighties Generation, friend of Giuseppe Martucci, Maurice Ravel, George Enescu, student of Gabriel Faure and renovator of the non operatic Italian music, and Luigi Perracchio - amazing composer obscured by his own modesty and privacy - his solitary and shy nature, led him to compose more for himself than for the public or for the fame (in fact he only published a fraction of his compositions). The two maestros could share a great friendship, the same year and the city of birth (Turin, 1883), and the love for harpist Clelia Gatti Aldrovandi, muse of greatest composers of her time, whom to are dedicated their works for harp. The passionate interpretation by Alessandra Ziveri approaches with great momentum this double challenge: the premiere recording of unknown works and the Casella sonata an absolute harp music milestone.
